TitleEFFECT OF BOUNDARY LAYER IN A WALL WITH TRANSVERSAL GRADATION OF EFFECTIVE PROPERTIES
AutorMonika Wągrowska, Joanna Witkowska-Dobrev
Pages3–10
Keywordstransversal gradation of properties, asymptotic variant of tolerance modeling – local homogenization, boundary layer effect
AbstractShow abstract
Effect of boundary layer for multilayered wall with transversal gradation of effective properties was investigated. Every layer of considered wall had thickness η and was made of two isotropic, homogeneous linear elastic materials. The consideration without effect of boundary layer was reduced to the one dimensional stationary problem within the frames of asymptotic variant of tolerance modelling – local homogenization. The equations of boundary layer effect were presented within the frames of tolerance model.

TitleSOIL CLASSIFICATION BASED ON CPT AND DMT TEST
AutorSimon Rabarijoely, Paweł Sujka
Pages11–23
Keywordssoil classifications, field test, CPT/DMT tests, statistical analysis
AbstractShow abstract
This paper presents the general principles of soils grouping on the base of geotechnical soundings. The results of the CPT and DMT tests carried out in the campus of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, as well as set individual geotechnical layers were summarized. Based on the results of laboratory test, mainly grain size distribution analysis of soil, types of soils were identified and compared with data from field tests. Also a statistical analysis of data from field tests were carried out. Addition, the differences in the classification according to Polish PN-86/B-02480 and European PN-EN ISO 14688 standards were presented.

TitleTHE USE OF 15 cm2 CPTU FOR INVESTIGATIONS OF SUBSOIL
AutorMarek Bajda, Marcin Biliniak, Mariusz Lech
Pages25–33
Keywordsin situ tests, CPTU test, 15 cm2 CPTU
AbstractShow abstract
There are several kinds of geotechnical tests that can be used for determination of stratigraphy and soil parameters. The CPTU test is one of the most powerful site investigation tools. The probe is normally available in two sizes: Ac = 10 cm2 and Ac = 15 cm2. Most of the correlations with geotechnical data were developed based on 10 cm2 CPTU (CPT) results. This paper presents geological description of investigated site, test procedure and the results of geotechnical in situ investigations carried out with the use of 10cm2 CPTU cone and 15 cm2 CPTU cone. It contains the description of in situ measurements and presents the results of CPTU investigations at the experimental plot of Campus SGGW in Warsaw. The aim of the paper is to compare parameters measured by the 15 cm2 CPTU to 10 cm2 CPTU. Finally the paper presents the analysis of obtained results.

TitleMAIN RECOMMENDATIONS IN DESIGN OF LOW ENERGY CONSUMING COUNTRY HOUSES
AutorMirosława Górecka
Pages35–42
Keywordscountry house, low energy consumption, functional and spatial elements
AbstractShow abstract
The paper presents main recommendations in design of low energy-consuming country houses, taking the architectural solutions into consideration. The attention was drawn to shaping of functional and spatial elements of the houses, such as their mass (including the spatial form of the roof), rooms arrangement, system of functional links, elements of the house structure along with the properties of ground concerning isolation and heat accumulation as well as the localization of the house on the plot including the solution of its surroundings.

TitleTHE LITURGICAL ASPECTS OF INTERIORS OF ORTHODOX CHURCHES
AutorKrzysztof Woźniak
Pages43–56
Keywordsdomes, ecclesiastical architecture, churches, orthodox churches, temples
AbstractShow abstract
In this paper are presented the ways of building interiors of contemporary orthodox churches, which forms are similar to traditional. Researches were concentrated of their liturgical functions. The author presented phenomenon, that traditional function of prothesis disappears. In the article is presented opulent symbols of orthodox churches interiors.
