TitleSOLVING THIN FINNED PLATES USING STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS METHOD
AutorDariusz Buchaniec, Mykhaylo Delyavskyy, Aleksandra Niespodziana
Pages3–14
Keywordsribbed plates, Euler beam, construction elements method, non-homogenous plates
AbstractShow abstract
This paper attempts to model a plate-fin element. The cooperation of the rib and the plate is provided by satisfying the equation of static equilibrium subjected to axial and tangent forces. The forces occur in bottom and top surfaces of the rib. Moreover, description of the plate element is generalized considering unknown horizontal displacements. The obtained equation of deflection of the fin element contains unknown forces of reactions of the bottom surface of the plate. A sum of general integral of homogeneous equation and particular integral of non-homogeneous equation is a solution of the equation. It can be assumed that the general integral is in symmetric form. Particular integral is solved by decompositions in functional series of loads of the plate and interaction forces. Next stage of modeling considers the above process for the rib. Putting these two descriptions together –the plate and the rib, allows to define the plate-rib element method.

TitleTRADITIONAL FARM BUILDINGS IN THE REGION BETWEEN THE RIVERS WARTA AND NER
AutorAleksandra Gorączko, Marcin Gorączko
Pages15–24
Keywords masonry structures, limestone silica building stone
AbstractShow abstract
The paper presents results of research on traditional farm buildings in the region between the rivers Warta and Ner. The buildings were constructed in bricks technology with the use of local of limestone silica building stone. The used material and a significant number of objects (more than 1800 is inventoried ) causes that the described area is still characterized by a distinct architectural and structural separateness. Further research should primarily result in detailed register of the buildings with the regional specificity, determining their technical condition, selection of objects to be under conservation, development of guidelines for repairs and protect against further degradation. Finally, promotion of the architectural distinctiveness of the region should be scheduled.

TitleUNUSED POTENTIAL OF RURAL SOKOŁOWSKO SPA
AutorEleonora Gonda-Soroczyńska
Pages25–34
Keywordsrural spa, village, potential of a rural spa, revival of rural areas, resources of healing materials, climatic conditions
AbstractShow abstract
Sokołowsko, a former rural spa which may now be referred to as “a forgotten spa” was studied by the author. The potential of spas as health-promoting places mainly depends on the climatic qualities, resources of health-promoting raw materials as well as service infrastructure. The main advantages of the village are: location in the mountains and close to the national border; vicinity of Wałbrzych; climatic conditions beneficial for the treatment of respiratory track diseases; spa infrastructure; unique mountain landscape protected within the Sudety Wałbrzyskie Landscape Park created in 1998. The decreasing offer of spa resort infrastructure as well as decreasing number of patients are worrying phenomena.

TitleQUALITY OF DWELLING ENVIRONMENT OF HOUSING ESTATES IN FORMER STATE-OWNED FARMS (PGR)
AutorNorbert Dąbkowski, Hanka Zaniewska
Pages35–42
Keywordsdwelling house, state-owned farm (PGR), housing estate
AbstractShow abstract
The paper presents the results of investigations of dwelling houses localized in the estates of former state-owned farms. The research was carried out in three districts of West-Pomeranian voivodeship and two districts of Wielkopolska voivodeship.

TitleREASONS OF DAMAGES IN CONCRETE FLOORS OF HIGH STORAGE STOREHOUSES
AutorMarek Dohojda
Pages43–48
Keywordsconcrete, concrete floor, floor damages
AbstractShow abstract
The paper presents concrete floors as a component of high storage storehouses. There have been presented the consecutive stages of designing, with the special consideration of demands of a future user. Then, the typical errors have been presented, which arise during design, execution and later exploitation. The special attention has been paid at the possibilities of arising damages during the exploitation as well as these of a later repair – with the use of an appropriate technology and materials having the current quality certificates. Reasons of damages in concrete floors of high magazines storage.
