TitleThe artificial lighting of the space in building for livestock in different usage states of lamps and internal surfaces of casing
AutorHenryk Żelazny
Pages3–16
Keywordsbuilding for livestock, lighting, lamps, internal surfaces
AbstractShow abstract
The artificial lighting of rooms, except making possible easy and safe executing of activities, should be rational and particularly not much energy-consuming. In comparative research were estimated, with the aid of luxmeter, differentiation of the lighting intensity under lamps with different state of dirty of the lighting fitting and different period of use of fluorescent lamp. There also were estimated the influence of the wet cleaning of the facing from aluminium film on improvement of general lighting in room for livestock. The difference of average value of artificial lighting intensity between the lamps with the lowest and the highest efficiency was until 15.7%. After wash next barriers, which are polished from inside by reflecting light rays screens, there were observed gradual drop of average intensity of artificial lighting in room for livestock from value 155.4 Lx to 151.1 Lx. In order to keep correct photo-climate in interior for livestock lighted by fluorescent lamps we should maintain cleanness of bindings and exchange lamps before their total consumption – the noticing on ends of pipes the dark collar can be a signal for it. In turn the removing of soiling from aluminium films with the aid of detergents, the wet method does not lead to profitable changes in lighting and it would undertake the research of effectiveness of improvement brightness connected with dry cleaning of this type of facing or with use of other techniques.

TitleDependence of chosen mechanical properties of carrot (Daucus carota L.) and parsley (Petroselinum sativum Hoffm.) from refrigeration process kinetic in jet tube fluidization method
AutorDariusz Góral, Łukasz Stadnik
Pages17–24
Keywordsfrozen vegetables, impingement, jet tube fluidization, refrigeration process
AbstractShow abstract
The aim of research was demonstration if the jet tube fluidization method which was using in refrigeration processing influences on improvement preservation of the chosen mechanical properties of product after processing in relation to the natural air convection freezing. Experiments were carried on the Bardowicka parsley (Petroselinum sativum Hoffm.) and the Ambrozja carrot (Daucus carota L.). Raw materials were freezed in two methods: freezer (Whirpool, AFG 543-C/H, temperature -30°C) and jet tube fluidization method (impingement, temperature -15°C). Thawing of products was carried in constant temperature of environment, in: water environment, natural air convection and the impingement method. It was researched of freezing and thawing process kinetics. The highest speed of freezing and thawing processes was obtained in the impingement method. Researches of springiness power and cuts power of carrots and parsleys were confirmed that the impingement method was better in refrigeration processing than another researched methods and her small destructive operation on structure of raw material.

TitleChosen mechanical properties of the grain of new riticale strains and their pre-sowing magnetic stimulation
AutorDaniela Gruszecka, Beata Ślaska-Grzywna
Pages25–30
Keywordstriticale grain, cutting force, compressive force, pre-sowing magnetic stimulation
AbstractShow abstract
The aim of the study was to test physical properties of new triticale strains. It was measured cutting and compressive force. It was used Instron 4302 apparatus for cutting and compressive force measure. Simple triticale grain was put to cutting trial. It was used double sites sharpened 2 millimeters thick knife and with rate of knife 50 mm×min-1. The part of raw material were subjected to pre-sowing magnetic stimulation at 30 mT for 60 second. It was found there is no significant influence of pre-sowing magnetic stimulation on cutting force valve and compressive force valve.

TitleNon destructive method of the single grain humidity determination
AutorPiotr Makarski
Pages31–38
KeywordsKey words. grains humidity measurement, microwave detection
AbstractShow abstract
Most of the humidity measurement methods that are used in practice both in a field working and in a laboratory analysis usually manipulate average values for a specific standard sample. In this article the measurement system for determining the amount of water in a single grain and in small samples of grains without its destruction is presented. It works on the basis of the wave guide transmitation changes detection when the tested sample is present in it. In the case of a bigger samples analysis the information about statistic parameters of the humidity distribution in a sample is received. The results received for soya bean with a different humidity are presented below.

TitleApplication of the electrostatic method to analysis of the stream spray of the agricultural nozzles
AutorMarek Kuna-Broniowski, Dariusz Plichta
Pages39–46
Keywordssprayers, drop measurement, nozzle
AbstractShow abstract
Abstract: In the paper presented the investigation on the drops distribution using the electrostatic method. The investigation concentrated on the measuring the drops numbers touching the measuring surface. The electrostatic method during the scanning the determined surface by the small electrostatic sensor, give the possibility to determine the number of drops each small region of the surface called “pixel”. The method give the possibility to determine the geometric parameter cone of the sprayer drops and the distribution of the zap on the determined surface.
